THIS IS A POEM MY COUSIN WROTE. SHE IS MY BEST FRIEND, I LOVE HER TO DEATH. SHE HAS BEEN THROUGH HELL THE PAST FEW YEARS. SHE IS GETTING THROUGH IT BY THE GRACE OF GOD. BUT THIS IS SOMETHING SHE WROTE THAT REALLY TOUCHED ME. SHE IS A GIFTED WRITER, AND I JUST WANTED TO SHARE SOME OF HER WRITING WITH YOU.

you lie with no remorse or hint of conscience
to my face you beg me to enable you
every time i bury my common sense
failed marriage not just your fault, mine too

babies cry for their dad and i try so hard
to console them keep you super in teary eyes
niether one aware of my pain. my anguish barred
daddy loves you he just needs to get high

over and over and over you stab
theres no escaping your gravity
pulling us towards all things sad

twisted manipulation evil psychotherapy
you get what you want poison makes you happy
it makes us hate the man we once adored
before he sucked away our joy forever & more

we’re left dry numb and scarred
and you’ll continue til we’re lifeless
we’re far beyond when things get hard
nothing left... not even distress

just memories of hate and anticipation of the same
angry daddy robbing conning never feels ashamed

the gullible one who takes it all
the bread butter and bacon
intelligent single mothers do fall
although life is ours for the taking

i’ve known no gladness friendship love just loathing
an empty vessel cant grow even if you cry and wait
it’s filled with something painful now the absense of nothing
the smiling thief is loved i am the only one i hate
